ChatGPT Ranks the Top 20 College Football Programs

If you haven’t heard about ChatGPT, it’s an AI chatbot that was built by OpenAI. You can have conversations, ask it to write for you, use it as an information database, and with the sky really being the limit. ChatGPT isn’t fully up to date, so it couldn’t really rank college football teams heading into 2023, but we still had some fun with it.

We asked ChatGPT to rank the top 20 college football programs in the country. The AI mentioned that it couldn’t use up to date factors, but it was able to provide a listing of the teams and their historic performances. If you’re a Wisconsin Badgers fan, it’s interesting to see that they were ranked just outside of the top 10. Hopefully with new head coach Luke Fickell and a changed approach, we’ll see Badgers football climb the historical rankings.

So, without further ado, here’s ChatGPT’s list of the top 20 college football programs, complete with short explanations of each team.
