After the Milwaukee Bucks suffered a 122-102 blowout loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday, frustration continued to build as the team dropped four of its last five games. With trade speculation surrounding Giannis Antetokounmpo intensifying, former NBA player Chandler Parsons offered a blunt assessment of Milwaukee’s situation.

Appearing on FanDuel’s Run It Back, Parsons pointed to Milwaukee’s on-court struggles and didn’t mince words, describing the Bucks as an “atrocious” basketball team based on their current level of play.

IT'S TIME TO SAY GOODBYE! 😢

“It feels like this is going downhill, and it’s going downhill quick,” Parsons commented.

“I love me some Bobby Portis, and I hope he gets packaged in this deal somehow. Ryan Rollins has been their only bright spot of the season, the kind of surprise, everyone else on that whole roster has struggled. It’s been so up and down. They don’t play defense. They’re 27th in points, they’re 23rd in offense, they’re bottom five in defense. Like they are an atrocious basketball team, so like, it’s not getting any better.”

Is Giannis Antetokounmpo going closer to asking out of the Bucks?

While some continue to urge Milwaukee toward trading Antetokounmpo, the organization has yet to show its hand. Even so, the speculation is not going away, with Parsons among those openly discussing the possibility as the noise around Giannis’ future keeps growing.

“The only way this team can get better is to do a huge move with Giannis, hopefully they include Bobby [Portis] and [Kyle] Kuzma or something like that. Because I feel for these guys that are in this situation, because it’s not going to just fix overnight,” Parsons continued.

“You can see the frustration with Giannis here talking about guys playing selfish and taking bad shots…he looks sad, he’s sulking, that can’t be fun, and I don’t want this to turn into where he’s got to ask for a trade and then he’s a bad guy.”

The Bucks sit at 18-25 and finds itself 11th in the Eastern Conference, with a chance to reset the conversation when it hosts the Denver Nuggets on Friday night.
