Just a year after the world-breaking Luka Doncic trade, another superstar might be heading for a relocation. After more than ten years with the Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo is said to be reevaluating his future with the franchise. According to NBA insider Shams Charania, Antetokounmpo and his representatives met with Bucks team officials to discuss next steps, suggesting that his time in Milwaukee could be drawing to a close.

Landing Giannis Antetokounmpo would demand an incredible haul, but a few teams seem positioned to make it happen. NBA legend Carmelo Anthony recently pointed to one franchise that could instantly shift the league’s dynamics by adding the superstar.
"If you really wanna f*** the game up, aye, Sam Presti."

On a recent episode of ‘7PM in Brooklyn,’ Carmelo Anthony urged the Oklahoma City Thunder to pursue a trade for Antetokounmpo. The Thunder, fresh off last season’s championship and on a historic start holding the league’s top record at 21-1, have the resources and flexibility to realistically make a move for the superstar.
“I mean, if you really want to f*** the game up. Aye, Sam Presti, if I’m in position to trade for Giannis…” said the former Knicks superstar.
Will the Thunder trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo?

The Thunder hold multiple first-round picks in every draft through 2031, including the Los Angeles Clippers’ 2026 pick, which could land in the top three. On top of that, Oklahoma City has an array of young talent like Nikola Topić, Thomas Sorber, and Ajay Mitchell, all of whom could appeal to the Bucks as part of a potential trade package.
Thanks to their mix of promising young players and high-value draft picks, the Thunder could potentially add Giannis Antetokounmpo without trading Jalen Williams or Chet Holmgren. Even so, as the league’s current best team, they might hesitate to shake up their roster and lose the depth that has fueled their success.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is performing at his usual elite level this season, putting up 28.9 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game while shooting a career-best 43.5 percent from three.
Despite his stellar numbers, reports suggest he is growing frustrated in Milwaukee, making it increasingly likely that a trade could be on the horizon.
