The Oklahoma City Thunder were simply too much to handle for the undermanned Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.

Powered by a stellar performance by reigning NBA Most Valuable Player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Thunder got past Milwaukee for a 122-102 victory by the defending league champions.

The former Kentucky Wildcats star torched Milwaukee for 40 points to go along with 11 assists and seven rebounds. Milwaukee, playing without Myles Turner and Kevin Porter Jr., couldn’t slow down SGA, who shot 16-for-=19 from the field and made both of his attempts from behind the arc in 33 minutes of action.

According to StatMuse, the three-time NBA All-Star became just the first player in over 40 seasons to put up at least 40 points, grab five rebounds, dish out 10 assists and shoot no worse than 80 percent from the field in a game.

That was simply a masterclass for Gilgeous-Alexander, who also got plenty of support from his teammates.

Kenrich Williams and Ajay Mitchell each scored 18 points, while Brooks Barnhizer and Luguentz Dort generated 13 points apiece.

As for the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 19 points and pulled down 14 rebounds with seven assists in 31 minutes to lead Milwaukee, while Cole Anthony came off the bench and fired 17 points in a losing effort.

Milwaukee slid down to 18-25 on the season, while the Thunder notched their 37th victory with only eight losses to date.
