The Los Angeles Clippers are suddenly one of the hottest teams in the NBA, as the year 2025 comes to a close — and former Milwaukee Bucks star big man Brook Lopez is among the reasons why the Western Conference squad is on a five-game winning streak.

During last Friday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon, Lopez showed off his range and erupted for 31 points on 9/16 shooting from the floor.

All his buckets from the field were from behind the arc. He shot 9/14 from deep, and in the process became a member of an extremely exclusive stat group in NBA history.

    Via ESPN Insights on X:

Brook Lopez becomes the third player in NBA history with NINE 3-PT FG in a game after turning 37, joining Stephen Curry (four times) and LeBron James (twice).

The 37-year-old Lopez’s transformation into a stretch big is one of the most interesting evolutions in the league.

He did not attempt a single shot from the 3-point area in his first six seasons in the NBA with the New Jersey/Brooklyn Nets, but he adapted to the changing times in the league, as he hasn’t just extended his range and added a 3-point shot to his arsenal, but also has done so while being a solid outsid

e shooter. Lopez is a career 35.4 percent shooter from 3-point distance. The Bucks know all about his ability to make shots from way out, as he hit 826 3-pointers on a 35.7 percent success rate in 469 games with Milwaukee.
