A prominent Milwaukee Bucks player is reportedly frustrated with the team’s Head Coach, Mike Budenholzer.
According to The Athletic’s Eric Nehm, veteran big man, Serge Ibaka did not join the club on their current four-game road trip. Head Coach, Mike Budenholzer told reporters that Ibaka’s absence is due to ‘personal reasons’.
Just last week, Ibaka was interviewed by Spanish media outlet ‘Gigantes’, where the 33-year-old big man admitted that he didn’t know about his future with the Bucks, partly due to the fact that the team’s starting big man, Brook Lopez is currently playing at a Defensive Player of The Year and All-Star level.
“I’m fine, 100%. Fully recovered, but the situation is difficult. Where I am now, with Brook Lopez playing at an All Star level, it’s not easy.
But it is the life of the NBA and what I have to do is continue working as always and see what will happen in the future.”
When speaking about Budenholzer, Ibaka didn’t offer much when the outlet asked what Budenholzer has been asking of him on the court.
“Well, the truth is that I don’t know what to talk about this topic. No comment.”
The Bucks face the Atlanta Hawks, tonight, on the second-leg of the club’s ongoing four-game road trip, after beating the New York Knicks on Monday night.
