The 2023 NBA trade deadline is less than 24 hours away. February 9th, 2023 at 3 PM EST marks the end of the NBA trade deadline. The Milwaukee Bucks have been active in trade talks leading up to this year’s deadline. From Derek Rose to Jae Crowder, to Will Barton, and many more, the Bucks have been picking up the phone often. Now we are hearing a report that the Detroit Pistons may be involved in a trade with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Detroit Pistons Beat Writer Teases Bucks-Pistons Trade
During the Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers match-up on February 8th, The Athletic’s James Edwards III, who covers the Pistons, name-dropped the Bucks when asked if Detriot would make a deal. Specifically, Edwards said, “Keep an eye on the Milwaukee Bucks.” Full video below:

The first name that comes to mind for the Pistons is Bojan Bogdanovic. It has been often reported that the Bucks have been interested in adding the veteran for a while now. Bogdanovic is in the midst of one of the best seasons of his career. He is averaging 21.4 points per game while shooting 42 percent from three. He would undoubtedly give the Bucks more offensive firepower to surround their Big 3 with.
Another name to possibly keep an eye on is Alec Burks. Burks has certainly been a name that the Bucks have rumored to be interested in. He is having a stellar season shooting 45.3 percent from three on 4.4 attempts. Hitting nearly half of your three-pointers is insane. He also is on a very friendly deal. He makes $10 million this season with a $10.5 million team option next season. One proposed trade has the Bucks giving up one of their young players since they cannot match the draft capital of other teams. The Bucks would receive Alec Burks and a 2027 2nd round pick while they would give up Grayson Allen and MarJon Beauchamp.
Either way, there are multiple possibilities for the Milwaukee Bucks if they decide to make a trade with the Pistons before this year’s deadline. We will certainly find out soon enough.
