The Milwaukee Bucks have played most of the season short-handed. Whether it was Joe Ingles, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, George Hill, or a combination of them all, injuries have begun to affect the Bucks overall performance. Middleton has played in just seven games this season after having surgery on his wrist this past offseason and suffering a knee injury after he made his season debut. Giannis has missed the last four games with knee soreness. In their absence, Jrue Holiday has stepped up his game to levels rarely seen during his tenure with Milwaukee. As Holiday continues to rise, the Bucks have received some good news on the injury front.
NBA Insider Says Bucks Are Optimistic Giannis and Middleton Will Play Saturday
After a grueling schedule over the last two weeks, the Bucks are in the midst of a much-needed three-day break. This has given the team time to rest their players and allow others more time to recover. NBA insider Shams Charania said on Fan Duel TV that as a result, the Bucks are optimistic that both Giannis and Middleton will be able to play on Saturday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
“There is optimism that both Giannis and Khris [Middleton] will be back in the lineup on Saturday."

Giannis, of course, will continue to play at a high level when he comes back. That is just who he is. Middleton, however, may need some time to get back into game shape after missing most of this season. That being said, getting Middleton back now, long before the Playoffs, allows the team time to adjust to the game with him on the floor and experiment with various plays and schemes before the postseason.
