Friends and foes have come together in support of Damian Lillard who has been ruled out of the 2025 playoffs after suffering an ACL injury in the early going of the Milwaukee Bucks’ Game 4 loss to the Indiana Pacers.

The Bucks organization and his teammates described his injury as unfortunate and the kind that you would not wish for to anyone.
Lillard is trying not to be hold down by the mood surrounding his injury as according to an NBA insider, he is determined to get back to playing.
He is even aiming to return to All-Star form.
“I spoke with Damian briefly. He’s in good spirits, motivated on attacking this recovery process and he looks forward to returning to All-Star form whenever the timeline is established, MRI today,” Chris Haynes said in his Youtube channel.

Before that, Shams Charania confirmed what everyone feared.

An ACL tear typically requires nine to 12 months to recover.
Damian Lillard and Bucks’ misfortune
Lillard’s injury dashed any hope that Bucks fans have about this season, something they also did not have before it was announced that he fully recovered from DVT injury that kept him out for one month.
He was cleared to play for Game 2 after getting clearance.
The Bucks are now down 1-3 in the series and are on the brink of elimination. If ever they lose, they will be out of title contention in the first round for a third straight year.

Lillard was brought to the Bucks in 2023 to be paired with Giannis Antetokounmpo.
However, they are yet to display their full strength together in the playoffs as the latter did not even play a postseason game last season due to calf injury.
This year, Lillard only got to play two games.
