Shams Charania report about Giannis Antetokounmpo about being open minded now when it comes to ‘playing elsewhere’ was not well received by some hardcore Milwaukee Bucks fans saying there’s nothing new about the scoop.

The NBA insider wrote:
The two-time NBA MVP has not made any firm decisions on his Bucks future after the franchise’s third consecutive postseason exit in the first round, but, for the first time in his career, Antetokounmpo is open-minded about exploring whether his best long-term fit is remaining in Milwaukee or playing elsewhere.
Brian Windhorst, who a weeks ago said that the two-time MVP shows no indication of wanting to leave, begs to differ. To him, this development is in the natural flow of things.
He suggested that it is Antetokounmpo getting more mature about his career.
“He has to. I think it is a responsible thing to do. It is also responsible to make it clear that it’s going to be a process. He has a set of decisions to make, set of things he need to watch.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo feelers are connected to lottery
News of Antetokounmpo’s feelings about the 2025 offseason came at the same day as the NBA draft lottery.
The draft, happening from June 25 to 26, will feature franchise players especially Cooper Flagg.
The Greek Freak’s decision could send an earthquake in the decisions to be made by teams on the draft day.

“The Bucks are in a position that they are at the end of one era and I’m not sure that they can move in to the next era. All of their key players, and most of them are older than him,” Windhorst said.
“Their draft assets are exhausted. I don’t know if they are able to honest build a team around him and with these draft lottery tonight, you’re gonna start to see teams align what their assets are. To me, this is an intelligent thing to do.”
