Gary Trent Jr. made history on Friday night when he recorded 37 points, 27 of them from the three point line, tying Ray Allen’s record for most made threes in a single game in franchise history.

The team also walked away with the critical victory.
That night must have been something written in the stars as Trent Jr. is a fan of Jesus Shuttleworth growing up.
“It’s really a blessing. A testament to my hard work and everything I put into it,” Trent said as quoted by Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
“Big fan of Ray Allen as a kid. Watched him accomplish great things as a Buck, as a Celtic. I just followed his career. The way he shot the basketball. So to be a name in that group, around him or near him as a shooter is a great thing. A blessing.”

Allen, is of course, considered among the Top 3 of greatest shooters of all time in the NBA. He started his career with the Bucks in 1996 and played there for seven seasons.
He got his first championship with the Boston Celtics.
Gary Trent Jr.’s two-way impact
Doc Rivers needed to inject the starting line-up with energy and fans welcomed his decision of putting the GTJ there.
The 2018 37th overall pick was the among the new help that Giannis Antetokounmpo had in Game 1 although he has been very reliable in the last few games in the regular season.

He provided the much needed shooting as Damian Lillard struggled but he can do more than that.
Another good thing they did was they limited Tyrese Haliburton. Trent Jr. takes pride in guarding the opponents’ guards.
“Really just trying to be all over him to start out the game,” Trent said. “Don’t make it really too easy for him.
“Let him know you’re there. Make him feel you. Get in passing lanes. Give a little extra effort.”
