What happened in 2021 for the Milwaukee Bucks? It’s the NBA title, of course. Bobby Portis remembers something else.

The Bucks big man returned successfully to hardwood after serving his 25-game suspension and to him, his return reminds him of how it was like in the 2020-2001 season.
He is specifically talking about the time he first heard the Fiserv Forum crowd chanted his name in their win against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday.
“I ain’t had the chills since that moment but now, tonight, I felt it all over again,” he said after the game.
“It was like a very surreal moment for me just being able to get back on the court for one, and then just to have a ton of support behind me as well. That just made the game better for me to go out there and do what I do. I was very anxious. I’ve been thinking about this game for 40-something days. Like, dang, April 8 can’t get here fast enough.”

Portis came off the bench and scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, providing the team a much needed lift as the starters were unable to produce significant contributions.
Bobby Portis reaches milestone in return
Portis played like he never missed a beat and he even reached a milestone as a Buck along the way.
The 30-year-old center continued growing his legend as according to Stat Muse, he became the fifth player in franchise history to have 100+ double-doubles.

Portis is such a treat to fans and even to his teammates.
Kyle Kuzma is thankful that he is back.

“Really excited to have him back,” he said after the game.
“I think that he is a huge part of our identity, our mood and feeling out there on the court. I think he’s somebody that has just a certain amount of aura to him, tenacity that can ignite a group.”
