Patrick Beverley joins a number of people close to Giannis Antetokounmpo to put down any speculations about the Milwaukee Buck superstar’s future. The NBA veteran does not think his former teammate will leave Wisconsin.

Talking in his own podcast, the 2017 Defensive Team member categorically stated that the two-time MVP will not go anywhere.
“I don’t think he’s leaving. You gotta give up everything,” he said in his show ‘Pat Bev Pod.’
“He’s loyal. We speak about loyalty when it comes to basketball … It’s much bigger than that [for Giannis]. A team, you know, got his family to come to the United States. You don’t forget about that. … your brother on the same team as you. I’m talking about you being the only person from your family, United States, everyone from his family able to come and watch him play, and his brother’s able to play on the same team with him.”
Beverley played half a season for the Bucks in the 2023-2024 season.

Talks of Antetokounmpo’s next team got bigger on Monday after Shams Charania reported that he will be more open-minded about his career decision.
Giannis Antetokounmpo can’t be next Luka Doncic
Another reason why Antetokounmpo should not find himself donning another jersey is the Luka Doncic situation. The Bucks, according to PatBev and his co-host, can’t afford to do the most ridiculous NBA move by trading away their loyal superstar.
The co-host speculates that the Bucks front office are looking at Nico Harisson and Dallas to tread on the situation lightly.
“I think they look at what happened with Dallas and how much backlash there’s been with the fans. That they’re like ‘We can’t get rid of the main attraction’,” he said.

Harrison is yet to recover from that controversial decision, even if they already got the no. 1 pick in the recently held 2025 NBA draft lottery.
Antetokounmpo commented on the Doncic situation before.
“I don’t think that I would ever text (and ask for a trade), I am not this kind of guy, they would have to kick me out”.
