The Bucks are going to do whatever it takes to bring another championship to Milwaukee. The 2021 championship run was one of the most magical moments in all of Wisconsin Sports.
As it turns out, Milwaukee may have a foot in the door for someone elite.
“Oh My God” Bucks – Jimmy Butler Report Draws Widespread Attention (Report)
Sam Amick of The Athletic reports that Jimmy Butler‘s representatives have not informed the Milwaukee Bucks that he does not want to play there:
NBA insider Chris Haynes originally reported on Jan. 7 that multiple teams had been told that Butler “has no interest in being traded there” amid his standoff with the Heat. Haynes cited the Memphis Grizzlies specifically, with Yahoo Sports’ Kevin O’Connor adding the Bucks to the group.
Intentionally limiting his pool of teams was a counterproductive approach from Butler, who told Heat president Pat Riley again last week he wants out, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The six-time All-Star’s trade value simply isn’t that high for a player of his caliber, and moving him becomes even more difficult from Miami’s perspective with fewer franchises incentivized to negotiate.
Of course, Bucks fans were excited to see this:

Trading for Jimmy Butler is trading for Jimmy Butler (hypothetically that it’d happen), but a secondary benefit to the Bucks would be a quick reset to their non-Brook, non-Giannis alignment in the Frontcourt’s and that’s equally as intriguing in the short-term/long-term.

Bucks being reported as a dark horse for Jimmy Butler. I think that’d take them over the top as a solid contender, spacing doesn’t matter as much since they have Brook Lopez a stretch 5
