Bucks Update: A Clean Bill of Health

Giannis, Jrue, and Khris all appear ready to go for tonight’s big showdown vs the Dallas Mavericks in Dallas. That is according to the 11:30 EST official NBA injury report.

Only Wesley Matthews (Health and Safety Protocols) and Joe Ingles (Knee) are listed so far as officially out. With Matthews we could speculate it it COVID-19 related because of the listing. However, with RSV and the flu also ramping up, he’s just taking a personal day. Joe Ingles has been assigned to the Herd to rehab.

The Projected starting line-up for the Bucks is:

    • Brook Lopez- C
    • Jrue Holiday- PG
    • Grayson Allen- SG
    • Khris Middleton-SF
    • Giannis Antetokounmpo- PF

This should be a great starting five moving forward. Let’s see if this group can build up some continuity.

    Preview

The 18-6 Milwaukee Bucks take on the 13-11 Dallas Mavericks Friday Night in downtown Dallas at the American Airlines Center. The game will be a little later with a 9pm start because it is the back-end of a nationally televised package with ESPN.

This is the last game this year between the two teams. The Bucks won the first game 124-115. Unless, of course, they meet again in the NBA Finals. Vegas has the Bucks as 1 point favorites.

The Mavericks are a hot team right now. They are 10-3 at home. They are starting to look like the team that made the NBA Finals last year. It should make for a great NBA game.

I know sports because I know winning. Why do I know winning; because I really know losing. I was the 22nd runner on a 22-man 2002 Cross Country National Championship team, I was last at the state meet in the 2 mile in 1998, I played hoops with Caron Butler (who dunked on me all the time) and I once hit 5 batters in one inning.
