The Milwaukee Bucks (12-5) are coming off of a rare loss to the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night. Their 118-113 defeat at home to Chicago was just the second regular season loss to the Bulls in the Mike Budenholzer era. The Bucks will attempt to return to their winning ways on Friday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers (12-6). However, they may be short-handed as a couple players are battling non-COVID illnesses.

The Current Bucks Injury Report Prior to Cavaliers Matchup
Eric Nehm of The Athletic tweeted out this injury report earlier on Friday morning:
The Bucks’ injury report for tonight has been updated.
Probable: Jrue Holiday (non-COVID illness)
Questionable: Pat Connaughton (non-COVID illness)OUT: Joe Ingles, Khris Middleton
— Eric Nehm (@eric_nehm) November 25, 2022
Pat Connaughton, of course, has just returned from a leg injury that kept him out for the start of the season. In the two games he has played since joining the Bucks, he is averaging 5.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.0 assists. Connaughton has been playing just 15 minutes per game, a far cry from the 26 minutes per game he averaged last season. One has to assume that his usage will only increase as the season progresses.
Jrue Holiday has already missed time this season as well with a sprained ankle. The Bucks desperately need his defense and leadership on the court. He is averaging 18.2 points, 7.7 assists, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game.
In addition to this update, the Bucks optioned Khris Middleton, MarJon Beauchamp, and Thanasis Antetokounmpo to the Wisconsin Herd.
The Milwaukee Bucks have assigned Khris Middleton, MarJon Beauchamp and Thanasis Antetokounmpo to the Wisconsin Herd, per the team.
(Reminder: This means they are likely going to practice with the Herd today and then be recalled this afternoon before the game tonight.)
— Eric Nehm (@eric_nehm) November 25, 2022
While Middleton will definitely remain out for tonight’s game, Beauchamp and Thanasis will likely be recalled before the game. When the Bucks make a move like this, it is so that the players can get some extra practice in. Fans can almost certainly expect Beauchamp and Thanasis to be active for tonight’s game.
