The Milwaukee Bucks played like the contender that they are in their last two games by beating the hot-streaking Sacramento Kings and East rivals Orlando Magic by a wide margin. Things could get better for them as guard Gary Trent Jr.’s status has improved.
The 25-year-old shooting guard missed three straight games due to a hip injury, starting from the heavy loss to the New York Knicks.
Trent Jr. plays the sixth largest amount of minutes per game for the Bucks. He averages around 24 minutes per game for 9.6 ppg.
Before going down, GT has been playing splendid, hitting clutch shots after clutch shots in wins against the Toronto Raptors and the Magic in the second week of the month.
In Bucks’ latest injury report for their Friday game against the Raptors, he is listed as probable together with Giannis Antetokounmpo who is dealing with a right patella tendinopathy and Khris Middleton
Middleton who is subjected to injury management for the bilateral ankle surgery he had during the offseason.
Gary Trent Jr. in, Andre Jackson Jr. out
Bucks won big against the Magic on Wednesday but they also lost their top guard defender in the process.
Andre Jackson Jr. is listed as questionable for the Friday game due to right hip contusion.
The high-leaping guard suffered the injury in the second quarter of the game against the Magic. He played a total of 15 minutes in the game before being forced to leave with 11 seconds left in the second half.
He tried to return for the second half but that was eventually ruled out by the medical staff.
“I have no idea, honestly. Yeah, I just know he couldn’t play in the second half,” Doc Rivers said when asked about Jackson Jr. post game.
