After the Milwaukee Bucks put out a thrilling 118-113 win over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, Giannis Antetokounmpo has put his name in the history books once again.
In his tenth season with the team, Antetokounmpo played his 712th game in a uniform, surpassing Junior Bridgeman who had also played ten seasons with the Bucks.

It’s been a long time coming, but Giannis has certainly come a long way in Milwaukee. Giannis told the media after Sunday’s game that “It’s been a long, long journey. There’s more to be accomplished yet, I believe.”
Antetokounmpo has truly been a staple in the Bucks’ success over the last few years, being one of the driving forces in the Bucks’ NBA title in 2021. Antetokounmpo leads the franchise in points, assists, triple-doubles, free throws, and minutes played.
This season, Antetokounmpo leads the team in scoring and rebounding, averaging 31.4 PPG and 11.9 assists, respectively.
Giannis’ Perfect Game.
In Sunday’s contest, Giannis finished with 22 points, 10 assists, and 13 rebounds for his fourth triple-double on the season. What’s even more impressive is that he did all of that on 9-of-9 shooting, registering the 13th triple-double on 100% in NBA history. Antetokounmpo is the ninth player to accomplish this, and the first since Nikola Jokic did earlier this season.
“It was like a pitcher with a perfect game,” Coach Mike Budenholzer said. “I’m a little surprised it’s happened 13 times. It seems like a rarity. Not a huge stat guy or history, but yeah, he’s special.”
Now sitting at 51-20, the Bucks is at the number one spot in the Eastern Conference and an NBA best. The Bucks are also the first team to achieve 50 wins and the first to clinch a playoffs spot this season.
