The Milwaukee Bucks are on a six game winning streak and appear to be getting even better. With the NBA trade deadline less than a week away, there are a plethora of trade rumors and scenarios circling social media regarding what players the Bucks could acquire and which ones they might give up. Today, news broke that Brooklyn Nets superstar Kyrie Irving has requested a trade. If he is not traded, he informed the team that he will leave after the season via free agency.

Breaking: Brooklyn Nets All-Star Kyrie Irving has requested a trade, league sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. The franchise has been informed that Irving prefers to move on ahead of the Feb. 9 trade deadline – or will leave in free agency in July.

Among the players linked to the Bucks in recent trade rumors are Jae Crowder, Cam Reddish, and Robert Covington. Of course, a player of the notoriety and expense of Irving has not crossed the minds of many Bucks fans. Even with Irving now on the market, many fans want Milwaukee to stay far away from any possible trade for the disgruntled guard:

“I personally do not want Kyrie Irving on the Bucks. Super talented player, but I don’t think it would be that beneficial.”

“Kyrie is a great basketball player. He also derailed the Nets and led to James Harden leaving last season, shared anti-Semitic content and was a massive distraction to start this season, and now faced with a chance to keep the Nets afloat while KD recovers asks out. No thanks.”
