The Milwaukee Bucks were defeated by the Miami Heat in the second game of a back-to-back on the road. Every Bucks player, including Giannis Antetokounmpo, struggled to get it going from the floor.
Giannis matched a season low with 13 points, while grabbing 15 rebounds. Brook Lopez led all scorers with 21 points. He also had 6 rebounds and 2 blocks. Khris Middleton returned to the lineup after missing the last two games with a sore neck. His neck still appeared to bother him at times as he had a rare poor shooting night. Middleton had just 12 points on 4-16 shooting (2-10 from behind the arc). Dante DiVincenzo was a bright spot for the Bucks off the bench. DiVincenzo had 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in 27 minutes.
The Bucks were defeated by the Heat for the second time this season. Jae Crowder and Jimmy Butler (former Marquette players) led the Heat with 18 points apiece. As a team, the Heat shot 18-37 (48.6%) from behind the arc. Milwaukee was only 7-34 (20.6%).
Game Notes
Giannis only had 6 points at half-time, which also tied a season low.
Kyle Korver missed another game with a sore back.
George Hill had to exit the game after taking a knee to his midsection; he did not return.
The Bucks are now 9-6 when trailing at half-time.
Miami is the only team to defeat Milwaukee twice this season.
