The Milwaukee Bucks got back on track on Wednesday night. After losing to the Orlando Magic on Monday (118-99) on the road, Milwaukee avenged that loss, as the team took down the Magic Wednesday night, 116-108.
Perhaps that game will be remembered more for the breakout game that Cam Thomas had.
After scoring just four points on a cold 1-for-5 shooting in 13 minutes off the bench in his debut for Milwaukee, Thomas found his rhythm and showed the Bucks exactly the reason why he could be a game-changer for them.
In the rematch against the Magic, the former LSU Tigers star dropped 34 points in just 25 minutes. He shot 12-for-20 from the floor and hit four 3-pointers, while knocking down all of his six tries from the foul line. Thomas added four rebounds and two blocks, as Milwaukee improved to 22-30.
Bucks’ Thomas knows what he can bring to the team
Following the game, Thomas got his flowers from head coach Doc Rivers, who rhetorically asked him, “you get what?”
To that, Thomas responded, “I get buckets.”

Although Thomas has a profile of a low-efficiency scorer, there will be times when he’d remind everyone of his incredible scoring abilities, such as the performance he put together against the Magic.
In any case, he will get plenty of touches and opportunities for Milwaukee, especially with Giannis Antetokounmpo still out with a calf injury. Thomas will look to impress this Thursday again, when they play the reigning NBA champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder, on the road.
