Milwaukee is bringing back an old friend. Greg Monroe is reportedly signing a 10-day contract with the Bucks per Mike Scotto of HoopsHype.
The Milwaukee Bucks and free agent center Greg Monroe have agreed to a 10-day contract, a league source told @hoopshype. Monroe had multiple 10-day offers on the table before choosing the Bucks.

Monroe spent some time in Europe earlier this year before COVID found him taking many stints to teams via 10-day contracts. He was on 10-day contracts with both the Minnesota Timberwolves and Washington Wizards. In those five games with Minnesota and Washington, he averaged 5.6 PPG, 2.4 assists, and 6.2 RPG in 16.2 minutes played.
Prior to that, Monroe hadn’t been since in an NBA game since the 2018-2019 season. In his 637 career games, he averaged 8.3 RPG, 2.1 assists, and 13.1 PPG.
Saving money is something that Horst continues to do as he signs players to 10-day contracts. We saw the same with Luke Kornet, which didn’t have great impact to the team. I expect Monroe to be there for back up purposes.
This will be Greg Monroe’s second stint in Milwaukee. From 2015-17, he appeared in 165 games with the Bucks.
