The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to a two-way deal with Alex Antetokounmpo, Octagon managing director Alex Saratsis told ESPN’s Shams Charania. The youngest of the Antetokounmpo brothers will reunite with his older siblings, Giannis and Thanasis, in Milwaukee.

This move makes NBA history as the first time three brothers have held active roster spots on the same team. Alex Antetokounmpo had been playing in Europe since 2024 after spending time in the G League following the 2021 draft, where he went undrafted. He previously suited up for the Raptors 905 during the 2021-22 season and later joined Milwaukee’s G League affiliate the Wisconsin Herd from 2022 to 2024.

To make room for Alex Antetokounmpo, the Bucks are waiving guard Jamaree Bouyea from his two-way contract, according to sources who spoke with ESPN.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has remained at the center of trade speculation this offseason, with rumors intensifying after he skipped Milwaukee’s media day. Reports that his family returned to Greece following his EuroBasket 2025 campaign have only added to the belief that his time with the Bucks could be running out.

The Greek Freak turned in another dominant campaign in 2024-25, posting averages of 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game. He shot 60.1 percent from the field while playing 34.2 minutes per contest over 67 appearances.

This summer, Giannis steered the Greek national team to a bronze medal at the 2025 EuroBasket tournament, describing the achievement as the pinnacle of his career. His brothers, Thanasis and Kostas, joined him on the roster, contributing to the team’s success.

The two-time MVP has emphasized that his top priority is winning more championships, and at 30, he knows every season matters. Still, many fans and analysts question whether Milwaukee’s current roster has the pieces to mount a serious title run.

If Giannis Antetokounmpo ends up on the trade block, his next destination is anyone’s guess. The Los Angeles Lakers are unsurprisingly expected to pursue him, while the Golden State Warriors could also make a significant push. Whoever acquires him would instantly become a top championship contender.

With two of his brothers now on the roster, it appears Giannis is set to remain in Milwaukee, at least for the time being.
