Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur had beef with a reporter following a frustrating loss to the Detroit Lions on Thursday Night Football. LaFleur seemed visibly irritated with the whole team throughout the game.
LaFleur “laid into” the offense following several straight drives that resulted in punts or turnovers in the first half. He also had a serious conversation with the linebacker Quay Walker following an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty that resulted in the Lions taking a 34-17 lead late in the fourth quarter.
LaFleur didn’t enjoy his defense’s performance, especially in the running game. The Packers gave up over 200 yards to the Lions in the ground game. In his postgame press conference, sent a message to defensive coordinator Joe Barry about needing to change the defense.
LaFleur’s ire didn’t stay with his team.
Green Bay Packers: Matt LaFleur upset with reporters question
According to Matt Schniedman with The Athletic, LaFleur was asked by a reporter about why the Packers struggled in the first half. LaFleur called the question “BS.”
“I mean, you saw it. I mean, we got our ass kicked. If I knew, it wouldn’t have happened.” Before the next question could be finished… LaFleur: “That’s a BS question, man.”

LaFleur didn’t need to call the question BS. He just needed to say the Packers’ play and coaching on Thursday night was.
