The Nathaniel Hackett era is officially over in Denver
Former Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett will be looking for a new job this offseason.
After just 15 games, the Denver Broncos opted to fire Nathanal Hackett after going 4-11. The firing comes just a day after the team was embarrassed on Christmas, losing to the Los Angeles Rams 51-14. It’s been a struggle for Hackett in Denver despite having a boatload of talent.

Hackett was a hot name last offseason in the coaching circles before landing with Denver for his first head coach job. Working with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense got Hackett’s name on the radar as a candidate for a few teams. But things were a lot different in Denver from the start and it went down hill in a hurry.
After trading for Russell Wilson, the Broncos are dead last in points per game. That’s a huge disappointment considering they gave up a lot of picks and signed Wilson to a long-term deal.
The expectations were high from the start and Hackett couldn’t deliver. Now, moving forward it will be interesting to see where Hackett lands. Could a potential return to Green Bay on the Packers staff be in the cards? It might be too early to tell.
