The Milwaukee Bucks will be facing the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Cup Championship game with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT on ABC. This is the second annual in-season tournament championship game with the Los Angeles Lakers winning that a season ago. This game will be played in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Milwaukee this season is 14-11 and Oklahoma City is 20-5. This game will not count toward the regular season record and regular season stats. This game will benefit both teams in the long run.
Projected Lineups For the Oklahoma City Thunder and Milwaukee Bucks Game
For Doc Rivers’s squad, the projected starting lineup in this game will be Brook Lopez, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Tauren Prince, Andre Jackson, and Damian Lillard. Khris Middleton is listed as a game-time decision for the Bucks.
Mark Daigneault is the head coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder. The projected starting lineup for Oklahoma City in this matchup will be Isaiah Hartenstein, Jalen Williams, Luguentz Dort, Cason Wallace, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The Thunder have been one of the best teams in the NBA all season long and the Bucks have been playing better basketball over the last month of the 2024-2025 NBA regular season.

GOOD MORNING
WE WANT THE CUP
— Elias (12-2) (@Elias_772) December 17, 2024
A lot of Milwaukee Bucks fans will want to see their team win the NBA in-season tournament against the Thunder. The winner of this game will get extra earnings to go along with that cup. Also, Darvin Ham was the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers last season when they won this trophy. He is the assistant coach for the Milwaukee Bucks this time around.
The last memory the Bucks have of winning something was when Giannis Antetokounmpo dropped 50 points in Game 6 of the 2021 NBA Finals against the Phoenix Suns to win its first NBA title in a very long time. Milwaukee fans want another good memory of winning a trophy against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night. The truth is that this may not be the only time this season that Oklahoma City is playing in the finals.
