The Minnesota Twins have been a freight train heading into their series with the Milwaukee Brewers. They won 11 straight before and then added two more. However, they failed to get a 14th one, no thanks to Jackson Chourio’s heroics.

The 21-year-old prevented the Twins from completing a comeback with an incredible catch in the eighth winning off a bat from Royce Lewis. That play also prevented themselves from getting swept, which would have been their first time this season.
Chourio had Brewers and baseball fans abuzzed with that play. Even Lewis had to give him props for that.
“He didn’t look at me, man. I’m mad at him, I was holding it for like a minute. I walked all the way across the field,” Lewis joked after the match.
“It’s a great play. You have to respect good baseball.”
He also kept it real about the play, and in turn highlighted how it important that catch was.

“If he doesn’t catch that, I think we win the game for sure.”
Jackson Chourio reacts to his play
Chourio said it was his first ever home run robbery and he is happy that he was able to accomplish it.
“Just to be able to show the ability to do that, I’m happy about that,” he said.
The young Venezuelan is one of the most hyped player this season. However, he had his fair share of struggle with all the changes he’s facing.
He remains perseverant about sharpening both his offense and defense.
“Like I’ve always said, I’m going out there to win,” he said.

“When I’m going up to hit, I’m just looking to make good contact. Then whenever I’m going out on defense, I’m looking to make whatever play that’s asked of me.”
Next up for the Brewers is a three-games series at home with American League strugglers Baltimore Orioles.
