Today was a busy day for the Milwaukee Brewers. January 15 marked the start of the international signing period. In total, the Brewers 2023 international signing class consists of 29 players. Three of those players are ranked within the top 50 according to MLB pipeline.

Headlining the Brewers signees is outfield Yophery Rodriguez out of Venezuela. Some scouts have described him as one of the best pure hitters in this year’s class. He is graded at a 55 hit and 50 power. Videos on his Instagram show that he has the ability to clobber home runs and also has incredible bat speed.

Filippo Di Turro and Kevin Ereu are the other two prospects ranked within the top 50. Both players are shortstops. Flippo Di Turro is a switch hitter and is viewed as an excellent defender. Ereu is just 16 years old, but has a lot of raw power at his young age with the ability to spray the ball to all parts of the field.

In total, the Brewers signed 15 infielders/outfielders, 13 pitchers, and one catcher. 13 of the international signees are from Venezula and 10 Dominican Republic. Other countries to have prospects sign with the Brewers include Nicaragua, Mexico, and Colombia.
