The long wait for reinforcement in the pitching department could be soon over for the Milwaukee Brewers as Brandon Woodruff inches closer to the majors.

The 31-year-old was projected to return earlier than expected back in March because of his promising performance in the minors, which is part of his recovery timeline.
He decided to forego that chance and decided that he would rather be fully healthy and follow the initial prescribed recovery period.
He made another appearance fort the Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday he was just more impressive than he was in March and early April. He threw 60 of his 83 pitches for strikes in five innings. He also reached a 94.4 mph at one throw.

The team can either play him again on Friday, his last day on the injured list or enlist him for the new series which will be against the Tampa Bay Rays at the George M. Steinbrenner Field.
Their next series after that will also be on the road against the Cleveland Guardians.
Pat Murphy impressed with Brandon Woodruff
Murphy is yet to announce his pitching crew in those road trips but if Woodruff is to be discussed, he appears to be ready.
“If you didn’t know who he was, you’d say, ‘Wow, he needs to do this better,’ or, ‘He needs to do that. Wow, that isn’t very consistent. Oh, that’s not competitive,’” Murphy told reporters on Tuesday.
“But if you know Woody, you know the big stage is going to affect him in a positive way. So there’s a lot to be encouraged about.”

As for the two-time All-Star’s inclusion on the road trip, he said they are considering it.
“We’re navigating that right now,” he said.
“We’re trying to get all boats in the same harbor, and then we’ll make a final decision.”
