Pat Murphy hailed Milwaukee Brewers’ win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday afternoon as the team become more desperate. However, he thinks there’s still more to be had from the team going forward.

Several Brewers played like the star that they are in the 4-2 victory that prevented them from getting swept by their hosts. They are currently below .500 and are 4-6 in their last ten as their season continues to be riddled with injuries and inconsistencies from players.
Good thing for them, the leaders came out on Mother’s Day, led by Christian Yelich and William Contreras who hit one homers each in the fourth inning to help the team have control of the game.
These two playing well is an indicator of how good they perform as a team. Brice Turang and Jackson Chourio also contributed.

Brewers tidbits:
William Contreras has thrown out 15 baserunners – the most in MLB.
Brice Turang is still one of only nine qualified NL hitters over .300
Jackson Chourio is T4th in the NL in XBH with 21, three back of the leaders.
When the Brewers score 4+ runs, they are 16-5

Pat Murphy, Christian Yelich want consistency
It was a sight to behold seeing the reliables deliver. Manager Pat Murphy hopes he will see them play that way each outing.
“That’s the team we have to be,” he said. “Offensively, they’re not quite there, but hopefully getting off the schneid and winning one of these games like this will catapult us into playing better baseball.”
Murphy’s star Christian Yelich has the same sentiment.
“I think that’s what we have to do if we want to be a good team,” Yelich said when asked about their team performance.

“I think it’s shown up at times this year, it just hasn’t shown up as consistently as we would like. You just have to keep striving to get there and have it all click.”
The team now flys to Cleveland to play the Guardians who have been tearing it up in the AL Central.
