Craig Yoho came to the Milwaukee Brewers in 2023 with a great amount of hype and he finally got the chance to prove that he belongs to the big league on Sunday when he pitched as a reliever against the San Francisco Giants.

The team lost but Yoho still made a good account of himself, making fans feel hopeful about future of the team’s pitching situation.
He did give up a home run in the debut but the promise of his top notch change up was on full display. He had one strike out and walked LaMonte Wade Jr.
That change-up was previously previewed by manager Pat Murphy, calling it one of the nastiest he’s seen.
He was not rattled in his major league debut. The minors prepared him for that.

The 25-year-old right hand pitcher recorded a 1.16 ERA and 113 strikeouts in 70 innings in the minors in 2024. He also allowed only to only 27 walks. He was later on named co-minor league Pitcher of the Year.
Craig Yoho will be force of the future
Yoho reached Brewers’ radar as a largely unknown prospect. This is why general manager Matt Arnold is thankful to his scout Ginger Poulson who fought for him in the eighth round in the 2023 draft pick.
“Credit goes to her for identifying him as an amateur. And credit to him for just continuing to get better and working hard. He’s a great kid, and I’m super happy for him,” Arnold said.

Murphy is excited about it. That is if he will continue improving.
“The fact that he’s been through some adversity, so driven, I think once he settles in he’s going to be a force for us,” Murphy said.
