Isaac Collins is starting a new chapter in his pro baseball career after the Milwaukee Brewers decided to let him go via a trade. Milwaukee sent Collins to the Kansas City Royals over the weekend, along with right-hander Nick Mears for left-hander Angel Zerpa.
Collins, who turned 28 years old in July, was taken in the ninth round o the 2019 MLB Amateur Draft and made his MLB debut in 2024 with the Brewers. But his first full season in the big leagues was in 2025, during which he found a way to shine on defense and with his bat. In 130 games played in 2025, Collins hit .263/.368/.411 while knocking out nine home runs and recording a total of 54 RBIs. He also had 16 stolen bases and 57 walks.
Having started his MLB-playing career with the Brewers, Collins was able to experience many unforgettable memories with the team. But he’s now ready for what’s next for him, as he continues his baseball journey.
Collins thankful for Milwaukee despite Brewers trade

And before he fully immerses himself in his new baseball environment, Collins made sure to express his gratitude for Milwaukee.
“Nothing but love for MKE!” Collins wrote as a caption for a social media repost of Milwaukee’s thank-you message for him.

As for the Brewers, they may have some more head-turning moves up their sleeves in the offseason, as they look to stay competitive despite their relatively meager financials.
Milwaukee set a new franchise record for most victories in a season in the 2025 campaign by winning 97 games — with some help from Collins.
