The Milwaukee Brewers are looking to repeat as NL Central Champions in 2025.  Their dominance in the division was evident last season, winning the division by a full 10 games.

Jackson Chourio has been a big part of Milwaukee’s success.  Now, one news report regarding him and Mike Trout has got fans attention.

There is no doubt that Milwaukee Brewers have a bright future in the form of young star.

In the past year, 20-year-old Milwaukee outfielder Jackson Chourio has taken the league by storm. In 148 games played as a rookie in 2024, he hit .275/.327/.464 with 21 home runs, 79 RBIs, 22 steals, 29 doubles, and 79 runs scored.

Now he’s being compared to a league great:

Chourio finished third in the National League Rookie of the Year Award voting in 2024 and 22nd in the National League Most Valuable Player race. Now, he’s heading into his second year and cracked MLB Network’s top 100 player list for the 2025 campaign. They had Chourio on the list at No. 40 and just one spot behind Los Angeles Angels superstar Mike Trout.

Trout has dealt with a plethora of injuries, which certainly is the biggest reason why Trout has fallen on the list. While this is the case, it should be a good sign for Milwaukee fans. If the young Brewers star could be anywhere near as good of a player as Trout, than Milwaukee will be pretty set for years to come.

Many people were surprised at how little Milwaukee did during the offseason. Despite this, the front office may be seeing something special with the roster right now.

In the past two seasons, the Brewers have won the National League Central. In 2025, they can do it again, and Chourio will play a huge role if he stays healthy.
