About one month ago Milwaukee Brewers left-handed pitching prospect Frank Cairone was involved in a serious car accident. Per reports, Cairone was airlifted to a hospital when another vehicle ran a stop sign and struck his. The extent of his injuries is not publicly known, but Carione did personally post evidence of him taking a big step in his road to recovery.

With Brewers pitchers set to report to spring training next week, it will be interesting to see if Cairone joins the organization in Arizona or continues to rehab in New Jersey. Either way, hopefully he becomes healthy enough to pitch this year, as the former 68th overall pick from last year’s draft was projected to make his professional debu this year.
