A former Milwaukee Brewers farmhand recently shared a special moment with an in-game gender reveal. This joins a recent trend not only across MLB, but in professional sports.
Gender reveals in sports

Already this year, Philadelphia Phillies players Bryson Stott, Bryce Harper, and Trea Turner have been involved with in-game gender reveals. Stott wore an arm band to announce that his friend was having a girl. Turner presented a blue bat to Harper, that he went on to use in the game, to reveal that Harper and his wife were expecting a boy.
Earlier in 2025, Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves wore pink sneakers during a game to inform his older brother that he was going to be having a girl.

Currently rehabbing Cleveland Guardian David Fry recently found out that he was going to be the father of a girl. Fry, who is coming back from elbow surgery, has not been at the ballpark much, but his teammate Steven Kwan wanted to keep him a part of the team and agreed to do an in-game gender reveal. Kwan called time prior to an at-bat and revealed the gender by pulling out a pink wrist band and wrapping it around his wrist.

Fry, who was the center of attention last post-season as he hit multiple go-ahead home runs with two strikes and two outs, is a former Brewers farmhand as he was drafted by Milwaukee in 2018. In 2022, Fry was traded to Cleveland in exchange for J.C. Mejia. Fry debuted in the big leagues in 2023 and made a name for himself last October.
