In January of 2023, former Brewers player Travis Shaw announced his retirement after eight Major League seasons.  He was a part of the Brew Crew during the 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021 seasons.  Recently, on social media Shaw provided some comments regarding the 2017 and 2018 Milwaukee teams.

Here is what Travis Shaw had to say regarding the 2017 and 2018 Milwaukee Brewers teams.

2017 and 2018 was the most fun I’ve ever had on a baseball field. ELITE clubhouse chemistry, and great teams to be a part of. Congrats on a great run @EricThames 💪🏻 https://t.co/GAc1tQkZbb

The original tweet by The Barrell MKE also mentions Shaw’s former teammate Eric Thames.  Thames also recently retired from playing.  His retirement came shortly after battling back from multiple surgeries to his leg after sustaining an achilles injury overseas.  Both Thames and Shaw were key players during the 2017 and 2018 seasons.

Brewers fans showed lots of love towards Travis Shaw after his post on social media.

Thank you both for the great memories! I still have your Brew Crew jersey, Travis. As a loyal Brewers fan since their inaugural season, 2017 and 2018 sure made it incredibly fun again in Milwaukee! Hadn’t felt that electricity in the park since 1982.

Most fun I’ve ever had watching! thanks!!

You smashed the cover off the ball those 2 years as well. It was short but it was pretty cool having you as a Jay too. I love Thames as a Jay as well.

Two of the most fun and amazing years as a Brewers fan to date. This crew was ELECTRIC! 💙💛 https://t.co/Zgw9C63uOy

For the fans, the 2018 team was special. Certainly one I will not forget 💙⚾️💛#ThisIsMyCrew https://t.co/pwVL02VI6d

Former teammate Erik Kratz also weighed in.

Congrats to two of the most jacked dudes I ever played with!! So many huge muscles
