Back in early April, the Milwaukee Brewers and Baltimore Orioles agreed to a deal that sent pitcher Grant Wolfram out East and Daz Cameron plus cash to the Midwest. Daz, who is the son of former outfielder Mike Cameron, has caught fire at the plate since joining the organization.
Daz Cameron has been on a home run hitting frenzy

On April 11, Cameron played his first game as a member of the Brewers organization and he launched two home runs in his debut for their Triple-A affiliate the Nashville Sounds. Since, he’s hit more home runs. He has five overall in eight games that includes three straight games with a home run.

Could Daz Cameron impact the Milwaukee Brewers at the big league level?

At 28 years old, Cameron has had limited big league experience over the past four seasons. His biggest sample size came a season ago with the Athletics when he appeared in 66 games and received 170 at-bats, otherwise with the Detroit Tigers from 2020-2023 he played in 73 total games. Unfortunately, the results have not been too exciting as his career slash line is .201/.263/.330.
One thing Cameron does have going in his favor is the Brewers need for a right-handed outfield option as currently Issac Collins is getting playing time against left-handed pitchers. Should Cameron continue to prove himself, perhaps he could take Collins roster spot and role. The caveat is that Blake Perkins is progressing back from injury and is the favorite to takeover Collins role once healthy.
Regardless of what happens, the trade that brought Cameron to the Brewers is already showing signs of paying off, with the outfielder showcasing his power at the plate since his arrival. With his recent performance, it seems like the Brewers may have found a valuable piece to lean upon in the future, if needed.
