In early September 2022, there was a burglary in the Brewers clubhouse. The incident occurred after the teams September 8th games against the Giants.
Theft occurred in the Brewers clubhouse, manager’s office, and coaches’ office after a man broke in. He reportedly admitted to going to the Brewers doubleheader, drinking at least 10 beers during the games, and at some point, going outside and passing out.
Upon waking up, he began trying to open doors and eventually made his way inside the stadium. He proceeded to take a bunch of items and then called an Uber to get home.
Here is a list of items stolen from the Brewers clubhouse burglary.
From the strength coach’s office: a backpack, laptop, iPod, headphones, Walkman, sunglasses, notebooks, calendars, a credit card, and passport.
From the Brewers clubhouse: two players’ game-issued jerseys.
From the managers office and coaches locker room: a jersey, shaving kit, signed baseball bats, a replica World Series ring, keys to the Arizona spring training facility, locker bag of baseballs, and pitching training devices.
The man in question and the stolen items were found in his apartment. He has been charged with felony burglary and could face time in prison, a hefty fine, or both.
