The average career of a MLB player is 2.7 years. That’s around 400 games. This is why Milwaukee Brewers star Christian Yelich’s 1500 games is no ordinary feat.

The 33-year-old left fielder played his 1500th game as baseball professional in win against the Houston Astros.
It was a much needed win not jus for Yelich who had a fair share of struggle this season as he tries to make a successful comeback from a back injury that abruptly ended what would have been an impressive season.
The win is also a great confidence booster for the Brewers who struggled in series with the Chicago Cubs before redeeming themselves in the third game.
Yelich, who was drafted by the Miami Marlins in 2013 and joined the Brewers in 2018, was instrumental in the victory over Astros.

He recorded two-run homers early in the match, sending fans into frenzy and followed it up with walk. He then stole a base and a run in the late innings to help his team get a second straight victory.
Christian Yelich makes emotional reflection
Yelich is only the 730th player to have played at least 1500 games.
The highlight of this journey might be his individual accolades, including the 2018 National League MVP, but to him, the lows should not be forgotten.
“When you play your first one, you don’t know how many you’re going to get, so you try to enjoy them all,” Yelich said. “Fifteen hundred later with hopefully a few more to go, it’s pretty cool.”

He also tackled the learning curves he had to go through to get to where he is now.
“Teaching moments that I think you have to go through to understand that you’re always going to come out the other side, and you’re usually better for it when you go through those tough stretches.”
