The Brewers made a move yesterday as they signed free agent third baseman Brian Anderson to a contract. Anderson was non-tendered by the Marlins in November and was projected to make $5.2MM in arbitration. Since his signing with the Brew Crew was announced, Craig Mish has reported Anderson’s 2023 contract details.
Brian Anderson has a one year contract with the Brewers that will pay $3.5MM and he has a chance at an extra 2.0MM in incentives.
Brian Anderson’s deal with the Milwaukee Brewers is 1 year $3.5 million dollars, with $2 million dollars in incentives per sources. Pending physical etc. https://t.co/t7bnLjkA3e

Mish also reported that Anderson is expected to play third base with the Brewers. Third base is where Anderson has played the vast majority of his career. Outside of that position, he has seen a fair amount of playing time as a corner outfielder.
Last night can confirm former Marlins Third Baseman Brian Anderson agreed to terms with the Brewers as @Ken_Rosenthal reported. Anderson is expected to play Third Base for the Brewers.

If Anderson does get the first chance at playing time at third base, this could result in Luis Urias moving to second base. Before the Anderson signing, Brice Turang was expected to see playing time at second base, but he also has experience in the outfield. Abraham Toro, Owen Miller, and Mike Brosseau all figure to play into this puzzle as well.
The Brewers currently have a lot of players who could all factor into playing at third and second base. It may come down to whoever performs the best gets the most opportunities.
