Trading Freddy Peralta lowered the Milwaukee Brewers‘ chances of competing for a World Series, but it gave their already rich farm system a substantial boost. With the additions of Jett Williams, the Mets’ No. 3 prospect, and pitcher Brandon Sproat (No. 5), Milwaukee now boasts five names in MLB Pipeline’s updated top-100 rankings. Call it a fair exchange for one more year of Peralta’s pitching.

Brewers prospects named to MLB Pipeline’s top 100

Here, in order of overall rank, are the future Brew Crew ballers ranked among MLB’s best by Pipeline’s evaluation.

    No. 3 – SS/2B Jesus Made, age 18, AA (ETA 2027)

    No. 26 – INF Luis Pena, 19, High A (ETA 2028)

    No. 51 – SS/2B/OF Jett Williams, 22, AAA (ETA 2026)

No. 64 – SS Cooper Pratt, 21, AA (ETA 2026)

No. 100 – RHP Brandon Sproat, 25, MLB

That doesn’t even include catcher Jeferson Quero, pitcher Logan Henderson, third baseman Andrew Fischer, or first baseman Luke Adams. All feature in Milwaukee’s top 10 by MLB.com’s organizational rankings. On that list,  Quero, No. 5, actually sits ahead of Sproat at No. 6.

One thing that stands out immediately is the Brewers’ abundance of shortstops – four of their top-100 players. In reality, Pena has transitioned to see plenty of reps at third, while Made has also played some second base. Williams can play multiple infield positions as well as outfield. The positional traffic jam is not quite as congested as it might seem.

Among Milwaukee’s top 10 prospects, both Henderson and Sproat have already made their MLB debuts. In 2025, Henderson made five starts and posted a 1.78 ERA across 25.1 innings. For the Mets last season, Sproat pitched 20.2 in four starts and posted a 4.79 ERA. He allowed no home runs among 18 hits, walked seven and struck out 17. Henderson also just 17 hits (three HRs), walked eight, and whiffed 33.

Both Sproat and Henderson could appear in the Brewers rotation in 2026. Quero is also a good bet to debut behind the plate. Already at Triple-A, Williams could also make an appearance in Milwaukee at some point next season.
