Christmas came early this year with news that the Brewers will celebrate “Re-Opening Day 2021” on June 25.
This special event will mark the first game at American Family Field that will be at 100% capacity, a staggering difference from what we saw on the April 1 home opener, which was anything but traditional.
So what can you expect on this most joyous of all occasions?
Well, a few things actually.
The start time of the game against the Colorado Rockies has been moved from 7:10 p.m. to 3:10 p.m. All fans in attendance will receive a Brewers magnet schedule, and the first 10,000 fans will also get a free 1980s-style Brewers t-shirt.
You can’t have a Re-Opening Day without a few special surprises, which is exactly what the Brewers also have on the lineup for the day.
The June 25th game will include appearances by Brewers icons Cecil Cooper and Paul Molitor, a special national anthem performance, and many other ceremonies that truly mimic the beginning of a new season.
And with a new season, comes a fresh start. An opportunity. A whole new ballgame.
Which is exactly what this crew may need to help jumpstart their fire and journey to October baseball.
Tickets for “Re-Opening Day” and all remaining games will go on sale on Friday, June 4 at a special “Tropical Tailgate” event at American Family Field, as well as online at Brewers.com and by phone (1-800-933-7890).
