The last time Wade Miley pitched for the Brewers was game six of the 2018 NLCS. He was famously removed after facing just one batter to open up game five of the series, but ended up taking the hill during game six in which the Brewers needed to win against the Dodgers. That game he ended up throwing 4.1 innings and surrendering two runs as the Crew went on to force a game seven. After spending the past four seasons with the Astros, Reds, and Cubs, Miley is returning to Milwaukee on a major league contract.
The news was announced on Wednesday. This was the same day that the Brewers traded for pitcher Bryce Wilson and it was within the same week that the team brought back Alex Claudio on a minor league deal.
Here are some reactions that Brewers fans had in regards to the Wade Miley signing.

This guy has been rock solid for the last 3-4 years why is it so hard for him to get paid?

A lot of other comments made reference to the Brewers finally signing a free agent. Up until today, they had spent $0 in free agency. Instead of being active in the free agent market, Matt Arnold has made a plethora of trades this off-season, claimed players off the waiver wire, and even added a pitcher through the Rule 5 draft.
