This is a time of sadness for many football fans. College football is long gone and the NFL is about to wrap up. However, other leagues have started to pop up and will start this spring. One of those is the XFL. After years of being dormant, the league will start playing games in a couple of weeks. Former Packers quarterback Brett Hundley will be one of those teams when the year starts.

Brett Hundley To Play In The XFL
Hundley spent many years in the NFL with a variety of teams. It was a surprise to many that he decided to sign with the Vegas Vipers. He is projected to be the starter once the teams kick off in mid-February. Hundley spent three years with the Packers from 2015-2017 and put up decent stats for a backup quarterback to Aaron Rodgers. Now he looks to make a name for himself as the Vipers starting quarterback.
How Will These Leagues Fare?
This is not the first run for the XFL and other football leagues. Arena football was around for a long time and just recently announced its return. The USFL will also kick off in the spring with eight teams and some high-profile coaches. People definitely love football and the major networks picking the leagues up should help. Even so, it will be interesting to see whether these leagues have more success the second time around.
It is always great to see a former Packer get a second chance regardless of what league it is in. I, for one, am more interested in watching a little bit to see if Brett Hundley can become a star for the Vegas Vipers. He will have his first chance on February 18th when they kick off against the Arlington Renegades.
