Luke Fickell and his staff are wasting no time on the recruiting trail. After landing two former Cincinnati commits yesterday, Wisconsin got some good news today. Wisconsin has flipped another recruit. Wisconsin adds another 3-star recruit in TE Tucker Ashcraft.

Wisconsin Adds 3-Star Recruit Tucker Ashcraft
Ashcraft is a 6’5″ 235 pound TE out of Seattle Washington. He was recently committed to Colorado but has decided to come to Madison. He is a blossoming pass catcher but his skills as a run blocker are unparalleled. His high school offense is very run heavy so Ashcraft has gotten excellent at run blocking. This is perfect for Wisconsin and its long history of great running backs. He will get plenty of opportunities to work on his pass-catching and his height makes him an easy target.
Recruits Are Flooding In
This recruit is significant for a couple of reasons. First, yesterday and today show how good Fickell is on the recruiting trail. He has only been seriously recruiting for a couple of weeks and already has landed two 3-star recruits and a 4-star recruit. Second, this recruit is not from anywhere near Wisconsin. Fickell’s national reach can pull top recruits from other states into the program. While Fickell still wants to recruit the state, it doesn’t hurt to get recruits from other states as well.
Wisconsin getting TE Tucker Ashcraft is another huge get for the Badgers. With some other high-profile recruits visiting this weekend, the Badgers could be getting some more good news. If these recruits keep committing, Wisconsin is going to have a program full of talent for years to come.
