The Green Bay Packers and Tennessee Titans face off on Thursday Night this week. The Packers (4-6) are coming off a huge win vs the Dallas Cowboys that many believe could have saved their season. Meanwhile, the Titans (6-3) have won 5 of their last 6 games. Many of those wins, however, were close games against (seemingly) much worse opponents. The Packers should provide a tough test for Tennessee. It will be even tougher for the Titans after the injury news they received.
Tennessee Titans Receive Brutal Injury News
The Titans will be without at least four regular starters for Thursday’s game against the Packers. On top of that, key defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons’ status is questionable.
- Kicker Randy Bullock (calf)
- Outside Linebacker Bud Dupree (hip)
- Center Ben Jones (concussion)
- Safety Amani Hooker (shoulder)
- Defensive back Lonnie Johnson (hamstring)
Were all players ruled out vs the Packers according to the team’s injury report. All of whom (except Lonnie Johnson) are full-time starters for the Tennessee Titans. If the Green Bay Packers want to keep their momentum going they will have to beat a banged up Titans team. The news of so many starters being out should allow Green Bay to create some mismatches across the field. If the Packers win and improve to 5-6, they will be directly in the wild card conversation over half way through the NFL season.
