After taking two defensive players in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers traded up to get the wide receiver many fans have been clamoring for.

The Packers traded their two other second round picks to move up to pick 34. Surprisingly, the team that they traded with was the Minnesota Vikings.
Welcome to Green Bay Christian Watson
Christian Watson was the Packers’ choice at pick 34. Watson has long been linked to the Packers and was a draft crush of many fans and analysts. Obviously, the Packers were high on him as well as they traded up to get him.

Watson immediately will become a high-profile player in Green Bay as he will look to help replace Davante Adams, who was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders. Not ironically, one of the picks that the Packers sent to the Vikings was the second rounder that they received from Las Vegas as part of their trade compensation. Also not ironically, Davante Adams himself was a second round wide receiver.
