The Packers have been battling injuries all year. It seems the team cannot stay healthy and the injury report has been a revolving door of players each week. This week, the Packers will have to play without one of their top defensive players. Packers linebacker De’Vondre Campbell is out Sunday versus the Lions.
De’Vondre Campbell Is Out Sunday

The Packers’ defense will have to make do without their All-Pro linebacker this week. After injuring his knee on Sunday night, he did not practice all week. Because of the lack of practice, it did not necessarily come as a shock that Campbell is not playing this week. On Monday, LaFleur said that he didn’t think the injury was a long-term one but it looks to be bad enough to keep him out at least a week. Rookie Quay Walker will take the defensive playcalling over for this week against the Lions.
Campbell Is Not The Only Star Dealing With Injuries
De’Vondre Campbell has been ruled out for Sunday already but many more are questionable. David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins will most likely be questionable all season though both of them practiced today which is a good sign. Allen Lazard was back at practice this week after missing last week’s game but remains questionable for Sunday. Christian Watson is progressing through concussion protocol and it is unclear whether he will be ready to go Sunday. Preston Smith is also dealing with an injury suffered on Sunday. If all of these players cannot go, the Packers are going to need other players to step up.
While Campbell has regressed this season, he is still an important part of the defense. Not having him on the field is not good news for a struggling defense. The good news for the Packers is that Krys Barnes is back and they may need him to play a key role. This is as close to a must-win as you can get for the Packers. Hopefully, the defense will be able to contain the Lions’ offense on Sunday without De’Vondre Campbell.

Packers can never get a team together. Every year they pick the wrong picks and pick out of the last list of up and comings. Every year irs we are putting our team together. Well we are still waiting. Aaron needs to go.
