The Green Bay Packers will reportedly not be trading for a certain New York wide receiver ahead of the NFL trade deadline. The Packers certainly have been linked to multiple New York wide receivers over the last week or so. However, one will reportedly be playing with Patrick Mahomes instead of Aaron Rodgers. Kadarius Toney was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs today. This ended any rumors that the Packers could be pursuing him via trade.
Kadarius Toney Will Be In Kansas City
The Giants announced today they have traded Kadarius Toney to the Kansas City Chiefs. Toney is their 2021 first-round draft choice. In return, the Giants received Kansas City’s compensatory third-round pick next year. They also got the team’s original sixth-round selection in the 2023 NFL Draft. Poles had been the Chiefs’ executive director of player personnel.
Just yesterday a proposed trade between the Green Bay Packers and the New York Giants sent the former first-round wide receiver to Green Bay. ESPN’s Jordan Raanan thought the Giants would be willing to trade Kadarius Toney to the Packers. Toney was the 20th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. The Packers are actively seeking help and looking for answers at the WR position. Now that Kadarius Toney is off the table, they will have to look elsewhere. The Packers have reportedly re-engaged in trade talks with a certain AFC wide receiver they were interested in back in April. We will certainly have to wait and see if Green Bay finally pulls the trigger.

What are they waiting for they’ve known for a at least a month that they needed another receiver. Typical for the Packers they wait till the last minute then they panic and take whatever they can find.
