The Packers lost a safety to a foot injury
The Green Bay Packers’ defense struggled to keep the high-octane Philadelphia Eagles off the board in Week 12. The Eagles pretty much scored at will in the first half, going up 27-20 at halftime. The short-handed defense had enough players dealing with injury before safety Darnell Savage went down in the first half of their Sunday Night Football game.
According to a statement by the Packers, Savage has been ruled out for the rest of the game against the Eagles.

That’s not good news for the Packers’ defense in the second half of a likely shootout in Philadelphia. The Packers trailed the Eagles 34-20 early in the third quarter. The Packers’ defense did not look to be making great adjustments coming out of halftime. It’ll be interesting to see if defensive coordinator Joe Barry can cook something up to keep points at a premium for the rest of the game. It could determine the rest of the Packers’ season.
